Topic:
Information Management Framework and ECM Initiative at Valero
Abstract:
Jayne's Bio:
Jayne is the Manager of the Records and Information Management Program at Valero. For twenty years Jayne has been advocating and implementing RIM policies and practices for some very large companies. In addition to Valero, Jayne has managed the RIM Programs at Ford Motor Company, Chevron Phillips and the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. Jayne holds a graduate degree in Information Study from the University of British Columbia, and is certified as both a CRM and CIP.

Ashley's Bio:
A CRM since July 2012, Ashley McKay has worn a number of hats during her 15-year career as an information professional: technical librarian, research librarian, assistant archivist. With her move to Valero Energy in 2007, she entered the ranks of records management. Her experience at Valero began with the implementation of a comprehensive email management program. Other highlights of her 6-year tenure there include the consolidation four legacy instant messaging systems into single auditor, the creation of an in-house e-discovery program, bringing IT, Legal and RIMS to the strategy table with minimal bloodshed, and chairing the Information Governance Committee. Her latest endeavor is establishing information governance around an enterprise-wide deployment of OpenText ECM.
Steve's Bio:
Steve is Director I/S Services, responsible for Valero's Infrastructure Services Support Department which includes the corporation's Records and Information Management functions. Since taking responsibility for these functions, Steve has broadened the scope to go beyond a physical records management program to an Enterprise Content and Records Management role. With over 27 years experience in Information Systems, Steve is blending together strong records management expertise with sound technical concepts to raise Valero's capabilities with regard to its content and electronic records management program.
